FarmVille will be enhanced later today with an invisible feature that many of you will never see, but it will certainly help you get more items from your neighbor's Facebook feeds.
Beginning Thursday, the recent feed limits will be modified to not include any of the following items or tasks in the 125 item daily limit:
- Joining a Co-Op
- Collections
- Fuel
- Barn/Coop raisings
- Truffles
- Requests for help on quests
- Bushel requests
All other items will be included in the daily limit (including calves, foals, trees, etc.).
In addition to this change, a new feed throttle will be in effect. A player found to be collecting items too quickly from the feeds, such as a player who may be using an automation program, will receive a pop-up message letting them know they are collecting too quickly, and they will be able try again in an hour. This puts automation programs to an immediate halt, giving other players a fair shot at collecting goodies from the feeds.
If you are not using an automation program (and you just click incredibly fast) and you receive this message, remain calm. You are not being banned or blocked from the game, you're just getting a friendly reminder to slow down a bit. The throttle will remove itself in an hour and you can return to normal collecting.
Remember, using an automation program to snag items off the Facebook feed is against the rules.
Again, the majority of FarmVille players will never see the throttling notice, and many will remain unaffected by the 125 item collection limit. This is all being done to make FarmVille the fun, social game it was meant to be.
If you have any feedback about or problems with the feed throttling, it is welcomed on the Zynga Community Forums in this thread.
